Who are we?
Threshold.aero is an organisation dedicated to the enthusiasts enjoyment of aviation. Whether through photography, tours, event management, logging or social media interaction, we do it in an accessible, safe and professional way.
Jointly owned and managed by Andrew Morley and Paul Varcoe and with a strong operations team of experienced professionals and fully trained volunteers we build on our past successes, with new and exciting aviation opportunities each year. We continue to expand our volunteer and customer base working with us via our inhouse online training system, enabling us to become the largest aviation events company and enthusiast resource in the UK.
When we dreamed up Threshold.aero we imagined it would become a one-stop-shop for the aviation enthusiast, without seeing them as a cash cow, but as the support system for the aviation hobby's future. So far on our journey we have brought nearly one hundred competitively priced photoshoots to the hobby. We've supported charities, projects and operators across the country to keep our aviation heritage alive. We have an enthusiast website called Planet Avgeek and recently we have now embarked on providing worldwide aviation tours through our travel partner Alec Walker - Travel Counsellor. And there will be more.
2023 promises to be a great year for us with the re-release of Planet Avgeek, adding many more sections and enthusiast data. Also we will be launching our Aviation Photography Academy, which is four years in the making and will teach all levels and ages of photographer and enable them to use their cameras to get the images they wanted. But of course, you'll see your favourite events, new exciting ones, tours all over the world and all the resource you need at your fingertips. In short, we're not telling you we are the best at what we do, you'll be able to see that we are.

AIRCRAFT PARTICIPATION CHECKLIST SERVICES
For an enthusiast, an airshow is not just about looking to the sky. Many of them like details - and lots of it! Our official checklist team will gather every detail of every aircraft at the show, research, compile, print and sell (if required) a checklist. On top of this we will inform the enthusiast of the visiting aircraft via our TV 'departures board' within our trade stand.

PHOTO AND VIDEO MEDIA TEAMS
Your own promotional requirements is something we can build for you. We work with you to generate a list of photo/videography tasks you want completed through the day/week. Tasks can be communicated with our team via an app, so we can get to that urgent media op as fast as possible. You end up, with high quality images/video's, as and when you need them.

EXTRA REVENUE EVENTS
Whilst you have an airfield full of aircraft, or a museum or collection of aircraft, there are extra monetized photographic event ideas we can explore for you. Whether a night photoshoot, early access for photography without the general public or managed tours outside of active times. All these possibilities can happen with our smooth Event Operations team taking away all the additional management problems that come with it.

PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION
We know there are many who see an amazing aircraft photograph and wish they could do something similar themself. We believe everyone should have the chance to record what they want, so now we are going to make that dream possible. Four years in the making and 2023 will see the introduction of a new fork in the company structure to bring to you the Aviation Photography Academy. It will teach all levels the basics - the intermediate and advanced photography. Also we'll bring to the fold the hidden side to photography including scanning, cataloguing and post processing. keep your eyes peeled!
ENTHUSIAST SOCIAL MEDIA
Free up your media teams. Your social media channels need to be corporate based, for you to promote your partners, sponsors and their services. We will take on your social media and engage with the enthusiast for just the day, or weeks leading up to the show or for the whole year.
AIRCRAFT MARSHALLING
We have a team of fully trained aircraft marshallers, trained through our in house training app and with decades of military and civil experience. We can be on site in advance to work with your team, and we can map out parking plans and routes for your event.
AIRSIDE OPERATIONS
Our airside ops team will manage everything for you. From the security of the aircraft manoeuvring area from unwanted incursions, to a pilots tent, with a booking in process and aircraft handling. We can take this important liaison opportunity to another level, and ensure your visiting pilots remember the efficient, safe event arrival they are after.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Shows and events come with additional pressures. Our experienced team can work with you to analyse where things can go wrong. We will look at your operation with our H&S hat on, produce assessments and solutions and help mitigate the risks an event can bring.
